This document is provided as guide focusing specifically on the practice standards necessarily applied to ensure the professional management and care of patients experiencing complications and that known risks are mitigated.

We expect ACE Group members to consider and apply these standards as accountable and responsible professionals.

Confidentiality Policy

The ACE Group is committed to providing a confidential service to its users. No information given to the organisation will be shared with any other organisation or individual without the user’s expressed permission.

For the purpose of this policy, confidentiality relates to the transmission of personal, sensitive or identifiable information about individuals or organisations (confidential information), which comes into the possession of the organisation through its work. All personal data will be dealt with sensitively and in the strictest confidence internally and externally.

Forum & Social Media Policy

The Aesthetic Complications Expert Group operates a forum on a closed Facebook page and once registered as a full member, you can apply to join the forum. It is intended to share knowledge, ask questions, provide advice and learn from other posts. Although it is a closed page, you must still comply with the rules and regulations and with the professionalism expected of you. Failure to do so may result in removal from the forum or being reported to your professional body.

Emergency Helpline Policy

In order to help manage genuine emergencies which need immediate advice, the ACE Group has set up an emergency helpline number for registered Practitioners of the ACE group. It is not for patients or non-members to use. All other complications, which are not genuine emergencies, will be dealt with in the usual way by using the forum or email.

Reporting A Complication

For colleagues to provide advice on your case they need comprehensive relevant information. Moderators will require professional and organised presentations of cases before allowing a forum post or being able to respond to an email enquiry.
